Recreation & Entertainment
Recreational Services are offered through the Fitness Center aboard MWTC and the Family Resource Center located at Base housing.
We offer Recreational Services & Equipment Rentals, Information Tickets & Tours information, a 60-ft climbing wall, a full size gym equipped w/ two racquetball courts, men's & women's sauna, cardiovascular and weight training rooms. TV Satellite information is also available.
Fitness Center
The MWTC Fitness Center provides a weight room, with both free weights and weightlifting machines, saunas racquetball and basketball courts. Also available within the center are volleyball, wallyball, indoor soccer/hockey, along with a variety of aerobic equipment.
The Center also has one of the premier indoor climbing walls; used for both training and recreational use. Recreational climbing is schedule on Tuesday night from 1700 - 2030. If there is a special need you can contact Mr. Randall at (760) 932-1522 to set something up.
Also within the Fitness Center is our Recreation Issue facility which offers various recreation equipment for rent.
Hours of Operation
Mon-Fri: 0800-2100
Saturday/Sunday/Holidays 1100 - 1700
Training unit personnel are restricted from using the Fitness Center during week days from 1100 - 1300. For training units it is requested that the unit MCCS coordinators contacts the Fitness Center staff to schedule unit activities in the Gym.
The gym is reserved for permanent personnel, and therefore off limits to all training personnel.
Please Note:
- Appropriate, clean PT gear and non-marking shoes are required.
- ID card is required for checking out gym properties.
- You will be asked to provide a working party, either daily or weekly (depending on unit size and facility usage), to clean up the gym area
Contact your unit MCCS Officer prior to scheduling section PT inside the gym.

I.T.T. (Information Tickets & Tours)
Our ITT offices are located in the Family Resource Center in housing. We can order discounted tickets to most any tourist attraction you can imagine. It takes four to five business days to get tickets. For your convenience we also carry discounted tickets to the movie theater in Minden.
