FRA's Taste of Home
The Mountain Warfare Training Center is blessed to have some incredible local support, business and individuals who have a heart of the Corps and for helping our service members and their families. I would like to take just a moment to recognize one of these organizations and get the word out on a new program supporting the Single Marines of MCMWTC. The Fleet Reserve Association Branch 137 out of Carson City, in conjunction with their Ladies Auxiliary Group Unit 137, has started a program call 'A Taste of Home' where on the last Monday of every month homemade baked goods are delivered to the SMP center.
The goodies are stored in the shared refrigerator but don't stay there long! The idea behind this program is fairly simple; provide a taste of home to Marines that live away from family in an effort to improve the quality of life for those in the barracks. The program has been running for two months and our plan is to continue supplying sinfully delicious baked goods all throughout 2015. A big thank you goes to branch 137 of the Fleet Reserve Association and to their Ladies Auxiliary group!!
